I’m so impressed with how the Spanish takes such care in presenting the food they are selling. Certainly, we’ve all seen restaurants and famous chefs make food preparation an art form . But I’ve never seen such artistic flair in presenting food that you’re trying to sell. It doesn’t matter what kind of food; meats, fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, dried fruits, everything is so beautiful, enticing and mouth watering.
Their famous Jamón ibéico is presented in many beautiful ways. One way made me laugh because it had a small bit of jamón with bread sticks in a container that looked like a McDonald’s French fries holder.
Not only is everything beautiful but it’s so fresh and very expensive. This particular market is outside, right off Las Ramblas called Mercat La Boqueria. It’s very popular I remember when I found this gem last year, I couldn’t wait to return. I’m sure I’ll be making frequent stops throughout my stay here.
